Description
Star Trek Into Darkness (Paramount, 2013), Chris Pine "Captain James T. Kirk" Custom-Made Costume on Display. Custom-made (6) piece space jumpsuit including (1) fiberglass helmet with pleated silicone rear neckline and plastic face shield easily removed via magnets, with the Starfleet insignia centered on the forehead of the helmet and 2-integrated small LED lights, (1) exceptionally crafted full body jumpsuit made of ultra-fine grade wire mesh and gold-toned polyblend fabric with Velcro and zipper access points on costume shoulder and back sections, (1) pair of gloves made of black 3D-printed fabric, gold-toned polyblend and polyurethane fingertips, (1) pair of boots made of ultra fine grade wire mesh, gold-toned polyblend fabric and embedded poleyns made of polyurethane, (1) electrical cord, without power supply, attached to LED lights inside helmet for a display light-up effect, and (1) additional magnetic plastic face shield exhibiting intentionally distressed "crack" marks throughout. The costume was meticulously crafted by Film Illusions and is identical to the design worn by Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) when teaming up with Khan Singh (Benedict Cumberbatch) to space-jump from a crippled starship Enterprise to Admiral Marcus' (Peter Weller) starship USS Vengeance in order to save his crew. During the space-jump, Capt. Kirk encounters some space debris and his face shield becomes cracked and critically damaged. The additional face shield included with this costume represents that moment in the film. Costume components have been applied to a custom display figure resembling actor Chris Pine, standing 80" tall on a 40" x 34" x 6" wooden base with a black acrylic cover. The secondary "cracked" face shield comes freestanding. Components exhibit expected production handling and wear including some distressing to the mesh body suit and thread separation to the left hand glove. Electronics untested. Special third-party shipping arrangements will apply. Provenance: Acquired directly from Film Illusions Inc.
