Among the numerous exciting grails available in this auction is this 1985 first release of James Cameron's 1984 breakout classic, The Terminator. The film somehow manages to be both a product of its era, as well as a prescient warning of the dangers of technology and artificial intelligence that has become more topical in the years since the films release, which accounts for the film's lasting appeal almost forty years later. You'll be hard pressed to find a nicer copy than this VGA graded 85+ NM+ copy of the first release that has also received a Box subgrade of 90 and a Seal subgrade of 85.

In James Cameron's sophomore film, a "Terminator" cyborg (played by Schwarzenegger) has been transported back in time from 2029 to May 12, 1984 to assassinate a woman named Sarah Connor (played by Hamilton), who will give birth to John Conner, the human who will lead the fight against the machines. She's assisted by John Conner's loyal friend Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn), who travels back to protect her from the unstoppable Terminator.
