Leslie Caron vintage Gigi doll. (MGM, 1958/1980) Magnificent vintage Leslie Caron doll standing a full 29 in. tall. With bisque head, arms and legs, cloth torso, expertly painted features, human hair wig and meticulous detail down to Caron's bee-stung lips and carefully applied eyelashes. The doll is elaborately dressed in exact reproduction of the Cecil Beaton designed lavender gown for the finale of the Academy Award winning film GiGi. With tulle train and applique of translucent sequins. This rare and limited edition doll was created by doll artist Marilyn Houchen, and bears her artist's mark on the doll's back. One fingernail on the left hand is missing. Incredible detail and portraiture. On integral wooden base. Minor soiling and age. In vintage, very good condition.
