Kathy Bates "Annie Wilkes" stunt sledgehammer from the hobbling sequence in Misery. (Castle Rock, 1990) Original stunt sledgehammer constructed of wooden handle and dense polyfoam head. The prop measures 36 in. long with the hammerhead 7 x 3 in. Expertly assembled, painted and finished to precisely match the hero sledgehammer in the film's most unforgettable and dreadful scene when "Annie Wilkes" (Cathy Bates) methodically breaks the ankles of her prisoner "Paul Sheldon" (James Caan). The hero metal sledgehammer is featured in close ups and this soft "safety" prop is used for dangerous swinging scenes. Exhibiting minor production wear. In fine condition.
