The Who at the Fillmore West & Winterland Ballroom (Bill Graham, 1968). Very Fine-. Autographed First Printing Concert Poster (13.75" X 21") No. 108. Lee Conklin Artwork. Lee Conklin's surrealistic image of humanoid "butterflies" makes for one of the more memorable posters from Bill Graham's prolific poster series during his legendary run as a promoter between the 1960s and 1970s. These two performances from the Who featured opening acts Cannonball Adderly and the Vagrants, the latter of whom were known as the first band to destroy their instruments at the end of their show, a gimmick soon picked up by the Who (maybe at this show)! Heritage offers for the first time in over six years a first printing of the poster for these performances, also known as BG-108, signed by three members of the Who - Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, and John Entwistle. The poster shows slight signs of use, including pinholes, surface paper lifts, and/or chips in the corners or borders, and mild creases. This lot comes with a CoA from Roger Epperson Authentication Ltd.
