Description

Mal Waldron Left Alone 1960 Mono First Pressing LP Vinyl Record (Bethlehem, 6045). A rare first pressing (in mono) of Waldron's 1960 homage to Billie Holiday on Bethlehem Records. This engaging recording from the acclaimed pianist, who played for Holiday in her final years, features music written for, and inspired by, the late singer. The impressive personnel include bassist Julian Euell, drummer Al Dreares, and alto saxophonist Jackie McLean. This contains all the hallmarks of Bethlehem's original pressings: disc with maroon, "Deep Groove" labels, and a laminated cover. The sleeve is in VG-EX 6 condition and the disc is in NM 8 condition. COA from Heritage Auctions. From Jim Copeland’s Crush On Vinyl Ultimate Audiophile Archive.
