Description

T-Bone Walker 1964 "Jazz Blues Set" Chicago, IL Jumbo Concert Poster. An original cardboard window card advertising a 10-day stint by the hugely influential blues guitarist T-Bone Walker playing at McKie's nightclub in Chicago, IL from October 7-18, 1964. The Jazz Interpreters and Eddie Chamblee were also on the bill.

A member of both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Blues Hall of Fame, T-Bone inspired and influenced other legends such as Jimi Hendrix, Chuck Berry and B.B. King - to name just a few. B.B. has stated several times that he decided to learn electric guitar after hearing T-Bone's "Stormy Monday." "I thought Jesus himself had returned to earth playing electric guitar," Mr. King told an interviewer. "I became his disciple." Measures 17" x 26" and grades to Near Mint Minus condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.
