Bob Marley and the Wailers 1979 Honolulu, HI Concert Handbill. An original concert-advertising flyer for Bob Marley's appearance at the Waikiki Shell on Sunday, May 6, 1979. This Sunday evening show was the closing night of Marley's seven-week "Babylon by Bus" tour. This was the only tour Marley ever conducted that featured stops in Asia and Oceania (Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii). Marley lived for only about 15 months after this show, and then tragically succumbed to cancer. Measures 7" x 9 ¾" and grades to Near Mint condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: This tour was supposed to begin with two shows in West Africa, but those gigs were canceled for unknown reasons. So the tour commenced on April 5 for six shows in Japan, and then moved to Auckland, New Zealand for one concert, then shifted to Australia for eight shows, and then closed in Hawaii with two concerts: May 5 in Lahaina and this one on May 6 in Honolulu.

Condition details: The small black smudging in the lower left corner is a printer's flaw, not damage of any kind.
