Grateful Dead 1966 Pescadero, CA Bicycle Race / Folk-Rock Festival Handbill (AOR-2.186). An original flyer/handout advertising the Tour Del Mar Bicycle Race and Folk-Rock Festival taking place the weekend of August 26-28, 1966 in Pescadero, on the California coastline directly west of San Jose. This charming little piece, printed on pink paper, also touts Quicksilver Messenger Service and... hang on... Colossal Pomegranate.

The Dead played both Saturday and Sunday. We do love the line, "Trip on out to the happenings and dig the action!" This first-ever Heritage offering measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and grades to Near Mint condition. From the Tim Backstrom Grateful Dead Collection. COA from Heritage Auctions.
