Andy Kaufman's personal September 1975 "audition tape" from Saturday Night Live. (NBC, 1975- ) Vintage original Betacam SP brand videocassette tape of Andy Kaufman's audition for Saturday Night Live, featuring Kaufman's notorious "lyric recitation" of Donna Summer's "MacArthur Park" Next Kaufman perfoms the introduction to the 1950s TV show The Adventures of Superman: "Faster than a speeding bullet...." A fantastic artifact from the early career of the groundbreaking performance artist. Best known for his eccentric character "Foreign Man", and an absurd lip-syncing routine to the "Mighty Mouse" cartoon theme. Early hallmarks of his beloved Taxi character "Latke Gravas" can be heard percolating and developing in this early work. This Betacam cassette retains a Broadway Video label affixed with typed "Andy Kaufman SNL Audition 9/75" as well as bar code sticker. Accompanied by its original Broadway Video gray clamshell case. Exhibiting age and handling. In vintage very good to fine condition.
