Susan Sarandon "Louise Sawyer" screen-used cowboy hat from Thelma & Louise. (MGM, 1991) White straw Stetson hat worn onscreen by Susan Sarandon as "Louise Sawyer" in the classic Ridley Scott action/adventure film Thelma and Louise, for which Sarandon received an Academy Award nomination for "Best Actress". In the female fugitive drama, while driving through the desert Louise trades her silver and turquoise jewelry for this hat. Consisting of an ivory-colored straw Resistol brand Stetson hat with an internal brown leather sweatband labeled in gold gilt with, "King's Western Wear of Van Nuys, Calif.", and "Genuine Shantung Panama", a tough paper yarn material similar to straw. Features brown suede chin ties and three side vent grommets on either side. Handwritten on an internal label in the crown is, "Car Dressing." Tagged size 6 7/8. Measures 14 in around. Studio distressed with expert theatrical grime, holes and bends. In production used, very good condition.
