Orson Welles "Kane" signature jacket from Citizen Kane. (RKO, 1941) Dark blue wool suit jacket with pale grey pinstripes, two buttons, flap pockets, shawl collar and lined in black. Western Costume Co. label handwritten, "Orson Wells 41 1/2" and stamped "25351". Signature "Podium" jacket from the most iconic shot in Citizen Kane. Designed by Edward Stevenson. Worn by Orson Welles in his Oscar nominated role as "Kane" in the larger than life poster behind the podium as Welles delivers his speech for Governor. Also worn by Welles in the scene when Kane's second wife is rehearsing to become an opera singer. One of the greatest American films of the 20th Century. Orson Welles was just 25 years old when he directed, produced, starred and co-wrote Citizen Kane. Nominated for nine Academy Awards and winning one for Welles and Herman J. Mankiewicz for Best Writing, Original Screenplay.
