DeForest Kelly "Dr. McCoy" Medical Tunic from Star Trek: The Motion Picture and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (Paramount, 1979, 1982). Vintage original crème colored, polyester Medical tunic or lab coat with v-neck and unique short shawl collar, rank boards on shoulders, green grosgrain ribbon band and rank pins on left cuff and medical cast resin pin on left chest. The waist-length tunic features a zipper front closure and additional side zipper closure that runs from under the left arm, the length of the garment. Retaining the unmarked Western Costume internal bias label. Highly visible throughout Star Trek: The Motion Picture in sick bay scenes and in promotional materials. Also used in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan in the climax of the film when Spock administers his Katra (life essence) to McCoy before the Genesis device's explosion, effectively setting up the sequel, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. Exhibiting production wear and minor soiling. The medical badge pin's lower stem is broken and no longer present. Accompanied by a LOA from Star Trek expert and historian Rob Klein.
