Description

Star Wars PBP Han Solo (Hoth Outfit) CAS 75+ & Luke Skywalker (Hoth Battle Gear) CAS 85 Loose (PBP, 1980s). Produced in Spain by PBP following the transition from Poch operations, these figures reflect the maturing stage of Spanish Star Wars manufacturing-when domestic molding replaced imported Hong Kong parts and finishing quality began to stabilize. This pairing captures the heart of The Empire Strikes Back's opening act, featuring Han Solo and Luke Skywalker in their Hoth gear, braving the icy wilderness of Echo Base and the frozen wastes beyond. Both figures stand as enduring symbols of friendship, resilience, and rebellion amid the harshest conditions of the Galactic Civil War. Luke Skywalker (Hoth Battle Gear) is graded CAS 85 with a true grade of 87.3, while Han Solo (Hoth Outfit) is graded CAS 75+ with a true grade of 79.1. Although both are labeled as 1980 releases by CAS due to their mold date stamps, Poch and later PBP production did not begin until approximately 1981, placing these examples squarely within Spain's domestic manufacturing era. For variant collectors, PBP's Hoth releases mark a fascinating evolution in Star Wars toy production-from imported-part assembly to full-scale European molding. These figures embody the legacy of The Empire Strikes Back in both narrative and craftsmanship, uniting two heroes whose survival on Hoth became as legendary as the figures that immortalized them.
