Star Wars Greeting Card Greeting/Trading Card Original Art by Alice Carter (Drawing Board Greeting Cards, 1984/Topps, 1995). C-3PO and R2-D2 join a Gamorrean Guard, Greedo, and Ponda Baba (Walrus Man) in a festive birthday celebration in this lively painting originally created for a Star Wars greeting card. The artwork was later repurposed as Card #289 in the 1995 Topps Star Wars Galaxy Series 3 trading card set. This piece is rendered in mixed media on Bristol board, featuring an image area of 9 inches by 12.75 inches, and is matted to 12.25 inches by 16 inches. The artwork exhibits slight toning, tape adhesive staining in the margins, notes in the bottom margin, and adhesive staining on the back from a previous mounting, along with light handling wear. The painting is signed by Alice "Bunny" Carter in the lower image area. Despite minor imperfections, it remains in very good condition and comes with copies of both the printed greeting card and trading card.

More Information: Alice A. (Bunny) Carter is an award-winning artist, author and academic. Her illustration clients have included Lucasfilm Ltd., Rolling Stone magazine, The New York Times, and ABC Television. Her work has been exhibited nationally at galleries and museums such as the New York Society of Illustrators Museum of American Illustration, The Norman Rockwell Museum, the Art Institute of Houston, the Delaware Museum of Art, and the New Britain Museum.
