Star Wars Christmas Card with Unpublished Preliminary Drawing by Alice Carter (Lucasfilm, 1985). Offered in this lot is a fantastic original preliminary drawing for an ultimately unpublished Star Wars Christmas card, featuring characters from the animated TV series Ewoks and Star Wars: Droids. This drawing is rendered expertly in graphite on a 15 inch by 11 inch sheet of tracing vellum. The sheet is mounted to 20 inch by 15 inch board with a protective tracing paper overlay taped to the top edge. In addition, this detailed piece is joined by the final published Christmas card. Overall minor handling and edge wear with taping on corners and edges and a small tear in the lower right corner. The piece is notated "Card#3 Piano" in the lower right. The condition is Very Good.

More Information: Alice A. (Bunny) Carter is an award-winning artist, author and academic. Her illustration clients have included Lucasfilm Ltd., Rolling Stone magazine, The New York Times, and ABC Television. Her work has been exhibited nationally at galleries and museums such as the New York Society of Illustrators Museum of American Illustration, The Norman Rockwell Museum, the Art Institute of Houston, the Delaware Museum of Art, and the New Britain Museum.
