Star Wars - The White Witch: A Droid Adventure C-3PO, R2-D2, Thall Joben, and Jord Dusat Page 5 and 6 Book Illustration by Alice Carter (Lucasfilm/Random House, 1986). Offered in this lot is a fantastic original illustration from the children's book The White Witch: A Droid Adventure, based on the animated Star Wars: Droids episode "The White Witch" (the premier episode!). The book was written by Emily James with artwork by Alice "Bunny" Carter. This painting is rendered expertly in gouache on board with an acetate linework overlay. The image can be see on pages 5 and 6 of the published book (numbered 8 and 9 here). The piece measures a large overall 20 inches by 14 inches. Notably, the back upper right corner features a "Studio of Alice Carter" sticker, signed by Alice Carter, further cementing its authenticity and direct connection to the original production process. Overall minor handling and edge wear with some taping at the top edges. The acetate shows wrinkling/folding on the corners. The condition overall is Good.

More Information: Alice A. (Bunny) Carter is an award-winning artist, author and academic. Her illustration clients have included Lucasfilm Ltd., Rolling Stone magazine, The New York Times, and ABC Television. Her work has been exhibited nationally at galleries and museums such as the New York Society of Illustrators Museum of American Illustration, The Norman Rockwell Museum, the Art Institute of Houston, the Delaware Museum of Art, and the New Britain Museum.
