Al Jaffee - MAD Magazine #454 (June 2005) Fold-In "Which Epic Space Battle Will Prove to Be the Bloodiest?" Original Art. MAD Magazine #454 (June 2005) features Anakin and Obi-Wan with lightsabers locked in battle, set against the visage of Darth...Alfred E. Neuman? The issue's Fold-In asked, "Which Epic Space Battle Will Prove to Be the Bloodiest?", depicting duels between Yoda and Darth Sidious, Mace Windu and General Grievous, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the clones of the Republic against the battle droids of the Separatists. When folded, it turns out the real battle is between Sirius and XM satellite radio. Star Wars and MAD have a long history going back to the first film in the franchise, and this Fold-In is a classic piece of that legacy. Gouache on illustration board. Measures 20" x 23.75".
