John Alvin - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Padme Amidala and Anakin Skywalker Signed Concept Painting (Lucasfilm, c. 2005). This is an astonishing original concept painting for Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones by the lauded film poster and key artist John Alvin (1948 - 2008). Known for his iconic theatrical poster work for such films as Blade Runner, Gremlins, The Color Purple, The Little Mermaid, Batman Returns, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Space Jam, and The Emperor's New Groove, John Alvin is known worldwide as one of the greatest film illustrators of all time. His instantly recognizable art style has become known as Alvinesque by friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry, defining the mood and energy of approximately 200 films over his decades-long career. This is a jaw-dropping depiction of Padme Amidala (portrayed by Natalie Portman, whose likeness is masterfully captured here) and Anakin Skywalker (portrayed by Hayden Christensen). The work is rendered in mixed media on board, presented in a 28" x 38" Plexiglas frame with a window size of 19.5" x 29.5". All frames are sold as-is.
