Description
Batman Die Cast Batmobiles and Batboats (Eidai Grip, 1970's). A grail for many 1/64 scale Batmobile collectors, this lot contains four original pieces by Eidai still sealed in their original packages. The two Batmobiles were released in 1974 and are the same except for the inclusion of the Eidai Grip catalog inside one of them. They both have the original missiles inside but they have come untaped from the original spot in front of the car which is common. Both are still sealed with the boxes stapled at both sides. The box with the catalog has a bit of aging to the cardboard base and yellowing of the plastic cover. The Batboats were released in the later 1970's as part of the Eidai Grip Boat series. The boats are the same mold with one in black with a rowboat attached and the other is red with a white bottom and a raft attached. The raft and rowboat are connected to the speedboats with fishing wire that winds the motor and makes the propeller spin in the water. The tape has dried on the bottom so the boats are no longer sealed. They are new inside the package and unused. The plastic shells show some scuffing in spots but are not cracked.Auction Info
