Batmobile with Siren with Original Box (Marx, 1966). This dark blue Batmobile was made by Marx in the UK and is marked "National Periodical Publications Inc. 1966". It features a body made of hard plastic with a pink translucent windshield and painted Batman and Robin inside. It has chrome hubcaps and silver-painted bumpers. Although this is a rare car, the original box is an even scarcer find. The box has great artwork on all sides and is a very displayable piece on its own. The friction motor and siren are in good working order, however the back wheels are frozen due to the breakdown of the hubcaps and wheels that melt top the inside of the wheel wells in the rear. Since the front wheels are more exposed, this does not inhibit their movement. Overall, the car is in excellent, seemingly unused condition with no scratches on the body or underneath. Batman and Robin have great paint except for the tips of Batman's ears that rubbed against the box. The box is original, and while solid, it does have some bends and creases. on both main sides there is wear and one hole where Batman's head meets the box from inside. The end flaps are complete and working with a 1" tear at the seam of one flap.
