John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (Lionsgate, 2019), Yamaha MT-09 SFX Stunt Motorcycle and Rig. Original stunt Yamaha MT-09 motorcycle and special effects chassis measuring approx. 83.75" x 32.5" x 44.75". Built largely from actual motorcycle parts, it features actuating controls on the handlebars with an authentic key, leather seat, rotating rubber tires, high-quality molded plastic body painted with a matte black finish, original suspension, and electric cabling to control the dash, headlights, and brake lights. For stunt purposes the handlebars are locked in a forward-facing position and the engine has been replaced with a fiberglass faux stand-in painted black with silver bolts to give an authentic look. Used for green screen special effects work, the motorcycle is housed on top of a metal chassis with a large metal handlebar affixed to the left side and 2-left and right pneumatic pistons with pressure gauges, all painted in a bright green to make it easier to be edited out during post-production. This allowed stunt puppeteers to perform the intricate choreography needed to create the iconic action sequence featured in the third adrenaline pumping entry to the John Wick franchise. These motorcycles take center stage in the Verrazzano bridge chases sequence that sees the lethal assassin, John Wick (Keanu Reeves) battle the sword and gun wielding henchman of the mysterious Zero (Mark Dacascos), all while driving at breakneck speed. Exhibits production use with scuffing to the green paint of the effects rig and light chipping to the painted finish of the motorcycle body. Rear brake light is missing. Electronics remain untested.
