Independence Day (TCF, 1996), Republic of Kazakhstan F-18 Super Hornet Large Filming Miniature. Original 1/6th scale F-18 fighter jet model miniature measuring 99" x 70" x 22" and constructed of hollow fiberglass, vacuum-formed plastic, metal, and other multimedia components, expertly painted in light and dark grays and whites with a camo patterned motif. The blue and yellow flag of Kazakhstan is emblazoned on the exterior of both tail fins. A metal frame is built around the fuselage to allow for suspension during production. Featured throughout the film, fighter jets such as this can be seen in the lead up to, and eventual conflict, over Area 51. Exhibiting production and display wear with paint loss, chipping, some breakage. Right turbine is missing. Obtained from Twentieth Century Fox. Special shipping arrangements will apply.
