Description
Doctor Who (BBC TV, 2005-), Group of (4) "Adipose Industries" Props and Stationery From Season 4, Episode 1 "Partners In Crime". Original production-made group of (4) props and stationery items from the first episode of Season 4, broadcast in 2008. Comprising (1) "Adipose Industries" prop capsule box measuring 3.25" x 2.5" x 1", the hollow printed card box with imagery or instructions to each side, (1) "Adipose Industries" prop lidded empty box measuring 2.75" x 2" x 0.75" to hold a capsule chain, with company logo stickered to the lid, and (2) sheets of printed A4 paper measuring 8.25" x 11.75" each, one white with "Adipose" capsule instructions, and one yellow containing a Client List. The nefarious Adipose Industries caused havoc in modern day London by introducing a new weight loss system which led to humans' fat becoming sentient and running away from the body! Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) investigates Adipose Industries at the same time as the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant), finally reuniting with him for the first time since her wedding in the 2006 Christmas special "The Runaway Bride". Exhibiting wear including visible staining to the white page, and some visible bending to the larger box. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions. From the Collection of The Time Machine Museum of Science Fiction, Bromyard, UK.More Information: The Time Machine Museum of Science Fiction
Heritage is proud to present over 75 remarkable lots from The Time Machine Museum of Science Fiction. Founded in 2007 and located in Bromyard, the UK museum was one of Herefordshire's hidden gems and represents the Glazzard family's decades-long dedication to preserving and promoting the history of Science Fiction.
A centerpiece of the collection is its peerless Doctor Who archive – over 85% of the museum's holdings - including production-used props and costumes from both the Classic and New eras of the long-running TV show. Iconic villains such as Daleks, Cybermen, and Silurians are represented, in addition to the world's only known Mechanoid commissioned by the BBC for exhibition use.
Beyond Doctor Who, the collection features production-used and related pieces from other landmark franchises, including Star Wars, Star Trek: Voyager, and Red Dwarf - with standout items like an original flying model of Starbug and an original Kryten costume worn by Robert Llewellyn in Season 8.
Before settling in Bromyard, many of these artifacts toured the UK with important Doctor Who exhibitions in Blackpool, Longleat, Llangollen, and Cardiff.
This auction offers a rare opportunity to own a piece of Science Fiction history - each item a testament to the Glazzard family's passion and lifetime of collecting.
The Time Museum Collection auction is unofficial and not endorsed by, licensed by, nor affiliated with the BBC and/or BBC Studios.
