Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish (Aidan Gillen) Death Coat from Game of Thrones (HBO® Original 2011-2019, Season 7). Original (2) piece character ensemble including (1) steel and gray patterned riding coat with fur trim on the collar and down the front, cape sleeves, and hook-and-eye closures and (1) silver-toned metal mockingbird pin worn at the neck that was crafted by the piece's original artisan. Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish (Aidan Gillen) wears this ensemble in Season 7, Episode 7, "The Dragon and the Wolf," during his trial for murder and treason before Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) at Winterfell, culminating in his death at the hands of Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) with his own dagger. Sansa proves herself to be Littlefinger's best pupil by outwitting his plan to have Sansa turn against her sister Arya. Michele Clapton, the costume designer for the series, emphasized the subtle complexity of Littlefinger's costumes, stating, "We discussed trying to show how his confidence grew, the little details in his costume that reflected his complicated existence." Aidan Gillen commented, "The costumes helped me get into character. Littlefinger's wardrobe always had a sense of elegance and calculation, mirroring his manipulative traits." The showrunners, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, added, "Littlefinger's look was meticulously crafted to reflect his role as a master schemer.
