Nirvana With the Lights Out RIAA Platinum Sales Award (DGC B0003727-00, 2004). Rumors of a posthumous Nirvana box set first surfaced in the mid-1990s, not long after the death of singer and guitarist Kurt Cobain in 1994. It was eventually announced that a 45-track box set would be released in September 2001, to mark the 10th anniversary of Nevermind, but it was delayed by a legal battle between Cobain's widow, Courtney Love, and surviving Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, primarily over the song "You Know You're Right." The matter was settled in 2002, opening the way for the anthology set. According to the plaque below the black and white photo of the band, this award was presented to Jeff Moskow to commemorate over one million units sold. Framed to an overall 27.5" x 23.75". In Fine condition, with light scuffing to the acrylic glass and minor wear to the frame.
