Description
Sandor "The Hound" Clegane (Rory McCann) Cloak from Game of Thrones (HBO® Original 2011-2019, Season 7). Original character costume featuring (1) ochre floor-length basket-weave wool cloak with 2-brown leather ties at neck and (1) fox fur pelt. Pieces exhibit production wear, distressing, staining, and tearing. This cloak appears in Season 7, Episode 1 "Dragonstone," when Sandor "The Hound" Clegane (Rory McCann) travels with The Brotherhood without Banners after winter has come to Westeros. Coming upon a small house, he finds the skeletons of a father and daughter he had robbed earlier in the series and gives them a proper burial. Rory McCann commented on this scene, saying, "It was a pivotal moment for the Hound, showing his growth and humanity." Michele Clapton, the costume designer, noted, "The cloak was designed to reflect the harsh, cold environment and the Hound's rugged journey. It's heavy and practical, mirroring his character."
