Description

The Fifth Element (Gaumont, 1997), Group of (3) Mangalore Stunt Knives and (2) Mangalore Creature Hands. Original group of (3) alien knives constructed of cast hard rubber painted silver and gold with studio distressing, all featuring (1) long 16" serrated front blade ending in a grip on the back with (1) integral smaller 12" secondary blade, making it a dual-directional weapon, and pair of (2) foam latex Mangalore creature gloves expertly painted in brown and earth tones, each measuring 13" x 7". Used by the alien warrior Mangalores in the highly-stylized Sci-Fi movie. Blades measure 25" x 6" overall, and exhibit production wear and age. (1) blade has Velcro and adhesive material affixed to the back side with a pre-scored cut 4.5" from the base the blade. (1) blade has been repaired from a "break" in the blade, also 4.5" from the base. Gloves exhibit production wear, hardening of the foam, cracking, some paint loss, and the number "17" in marker on both openings. Obtained from Gaumont Film Company. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
