The Running Man (Tri-Star, 1987), Professor Toru Tanaka "Subzero" Costume. Original (7) piece costume including (1) black Lycra top and (1) bottom with Styrofoam "muscle padding," (1) red retrofitted leather hockey padding with 8-foam spike accents, (1) black canvas undershirt with plastic shoulder pads, and (1) white plastic vest with embossed "Subzero" on the chest. Also including (1) pair knee-high rubber boots and (1) red plastic helmet with amber plexiglass shield. Costume worn by ice hockey nemesis Subzero (wrestler Professor Toru Tanaka) in the memorable scene where Ben Richards (Schwarzenegger) and his team are pitted against their first "stalker" - a formidable foe in militaristic ice hockey gear. The costume exhibits major seam damage (and fiber filling leakage) on both leg pads, tearing on some areas of the Lycra material, paint chipping on codpiece and helmet, and general production wear.
