Batman Blits-Drink Bottle (Blits, 1967). Rising from the height of 1960s Batmania, this vintage 1967 Batman Blits-Drink bottle is a genuine artifact from the international wave of superhero-themed consumer goods sparked by the classic television series. Produced in Germany, the bottle once contained a fruit-flavored beverage aimed at young fans of the Caped Crusader. Though now empty, it still retains its original label-faded from age yet unmistakably Batman, with bold mid-century graphics capturing the spirit of the era. Scuffing and surface wear wrap around the glass just above the label. Additional scuffing can be seen around the bottom, and top of the bottle. Few of these bottles have withstood the passage of time, and this example offers a direct connection to the global pop culture explosion that surrounded the Dark Knight during one of his most iconic decades.
