David Ruffin/Kool And The Gang Norfolk Arena Concert Poster (Supersonic Attractions Presents, 1969). Very Rare. Oversized window card printed in Dayglo colors on card stock for a show in VA dated Sat. Nov. 22. The poster features photos of all the acts on the line-up and names of recent hits. Artists include David Ruffin, The Soul Children, Mel & Tim, Sue Rainey, Dyke and the Blazers, Kool and the Gang and Emery and the Dynamics. Printed by "Globe Poster - Baltimore". Measures 22" x 33". In Very Good condition, with several water stains, including a 3" area to the upper edge, and two others to the the bottom edge, wear and nicks to edges and corners, slight toning to white areas.

This poster features Kool and the Gang at the very beginning of their career. In 1969, they changed the band's name from Kool & The Flames, to avoid being mistaken for James Brown's Famous Flames. This is the same year that their debut album Kool and the Gang was released.
