Ghostbusters (Columbia, 1984), Life-Size Replica Slimer Display. 1:1 scale replica of the goofy, grotesque ghost "Slimer" modeled after the iconic Little Green Ghost from the beloved blockbuster Ghostbusters, constructed of a cast fiberglass body with intricate textures to resemble skin and body parts, expertly painted an alien-green color with hand-drawn detailed eyes, stained teeth, and dirty fingernails. Measuring approx. 29" x 40" x 27" atop a custom-built fiberglass plinth measuring approx. 36" x 28" and professionally finished in a similarly mucus-green color with a glossy sheen. Slimer is one of the most iconic and instantly recognizable ghosts from the franchise, typifying the creatures the Ghostbusters team was tasked with taming. The original Slimer, known amongst the crew as the Onion Head Ghost due to the puppet's intense smell during fabrication, was designed by Steve Johnson for the first film in the franchise. Item exhibiting signs of age and wear including soiling, with both arms showing seamlines as their points of attachment, not affecting overall integrity.
