Gunsmoke: The Long Ride (CBS TV, 1993), Arvo Ojala Quick-Draw Gun Belt. Original light brown stitched leather gun belt featuring a right-handed drop holster with silver adjustment buckle, hammer retention strap and leg strap, and 25 pistol cartridge holders along the back. Designed by legendary quick-draw champion and western technical advisor, Arvo Ojala, the holster is metal-lined to facilitate a smoother and faster pistol draw. Belt and holster are branded "Arvo Ojala Hollywood. Cal." on the interior. Ojala appears in the iconic "quick draw" intro of the series, portraying an unnamed outlaw who is outdrawn by the heroic Marshal Matt Dillon (James Arness). Arness' quick-drawing technique was famously taught by Ojala, who also taught most Hollywood western icons how to shoot convincingly. Displays light production wear and use.
