Description

Elvis Presley 1972 Las Vegas Hilton 3:00 AM Concert Poster. An original glossy B&W casino poster advertising The King playing an "Extra Special Show by Popular Demand" at 3:00 AM on the morning of Sunday, September 2, 1972, on Labor Day weekend. Features a dynamic shot of Elvis performing on stage, and has a lot of urgency to it, with fans told to "Make Your Reservations NOW." Best of all for collectors, this specimen comes from the person who took the poster's photograph and helped put them up all over the casino. Please see Ed Bonja's very helpful and informative Letter of Authenticity that comes with this lot. Measures 16 1/4" x 19" and grades to Near Mint Minus condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: Elvis was paid $27,500 just for this additional show. "Burning Love" was his new RCA single and was racing up the charts, where it would eventually get to #2. Everyone agrees that in 1972 Elvis was still completely on his game.

Printed on thick paper with the feeling of card stock, glossy on the front and flat mat on the back.

Condition details: The two upper corners have slight nudges, and the lower left one has a very light half-inch corner crease and a smaller quarter-inch one. There is also some sticky residue running along the left edge on the bottom half of the poster, showing as extremely light brown. There's also one dot of three-dimensional residue which could probably be broken off or rubbed away directly down from the word "At," about level with the bottom of the photo of Elvis.
