Eminian Sonic Disruptor Weapon from Episode, "A Taste of Armageddon" of Star Trek: The Original Series (Paramount TV, 1966-1969). Vintage static prop weapon measuring 12.5" long and crafted of wooden body and grip finished in gray paint with aluminum elements including a five-bladed emitter with red acrylic inserts. The Eminian Sonic Disruptor bears a striking likeness to the Klingon Disruptor, yet the Eminian sidearm was actually the precursor (Klingon culture was first introduced three episodes later in "Errand of Mercy"); modifications were made to the Eminian weapon to create the iconic Klingon weapon. Exhibits age and production wear including scuffing and minor paint loss with 1" abrasion at top right edge exposing bare wood. Exhibited at the legendary Star Trek: The Exhibit at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, Washington, D.C., February 1992 through January 1993. Featured on page 93 of the book The Art of Star Trek by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens (Simon & Schuster, 1995). Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions. From the Collection of Greg Jein.
