Captain Kangaroo (CBS TV, 1955-1984), Hugh Brannum "Mr. Green Jeans" Signature Green Overalls. Vintage original pair of green denim farmer's overalls with left and right side 2- button closures and green and blue striped shoulder straps, as seen worn by Mr. Green Jeans (Hugh Brannum) during his guest appearances throughout the long-running and beloved children's series, Captain Kangaroo. Mr. Green Jeans was the inquisitive and affable handyman who appeared frequently throughout the series, introducing new animals to the Treasure House, pulling playful pranks on the Captain, and bringing a warm and gentle folksy manner to the series that made him one of the series' most fondly remembered characters. These overalls, accompanied by a vintage-style green, black, beige and white plaid shirt, are synonymous with his character's visual look on the series. Overalls exhibit production wear and age including color-fading resulting in a warm vintage feel to the denim, with some soiling and stains throughout. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
