Johnson on the half title page, "To Gregory Peck, from his admirer and friend - Lyndon B. Johnson, Oct 31, 1964." Board corners and spine edges gently rubbed. Very fine.

Full calf, boards ruled in gilt with Presidential Seal in gilt on the front board, spine with five gilt ruled compartments and gilt stars with five tooled bands. All edges gilt, Silk ribbon bookmark bound-in. Decorative endpapers. Decorative paper-covered slipcase with Presidential Seal in gilt on the front panel. Inscribed by Lyndon B. Johnson on the front flyleaf, "To Veronique & Gregory Peck, with appreciation and with regard - Lyndon B. Johnson". Front joint split, spine slightly faded with some light scuffs and scratches. A few scuffs to the boards and gilt edges. Slipcase is faded along the spine and edges.
