Van Williams "Britt Reid/Green Hornet" Hero Telescoping Sting Weapon (Short Version) from The Green Hornet (TCF-TV, 1966-67). Vintage original superhero weapon constructed of black painted metal pipe wand with top brass band ornamented with rows of faux bar emeralds and with a swiveling grip that lies flush against the pipe until deployed. The spring-loaded weapon extends when the brass band is twisted. The weapon was used to emit ultrasonic soundwaves to open locked doors and threaten criminals. This particular prop was built for close ups. Measures 10" long when closed and 20" when opened. Exhibiting age and production wear including some missing gems. Bottom brass cap is detached but present. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions. From the Collection of Greg Jein.
