Every Day's a Holiday (Paramount, 1937), Mae West "Peaches O'Day" Shellback Chaise. Vintage original chaise lounge crafted of wood with an intricately carved shellback and an additional carved piece capping the end. The base has 4-carved legs with intricate floral imagery and scroll ornamentation. The cream colored jacquard upholstery is not original, and was once striped per the film. Measures approx. 74" x 45" x 26". Peaches O'Day (Mae West), disguised as the brunette singer, Fifi, lounges on the chaise inside her dressing room when speaking to Captain McCarey (Edmund Lowe). Displays significant production wear and age. The wood has cracked and been repaired in many spots, along with chipped paint. The current upholstery is very soiled and stained.
