Batman (TCF TV, 1966-1968), Dragster Batmobile #4 Parachute. Vintage original Deist military-style nylon parachute modified with a sewn-on black nylon Bat-insignia to center, measuring 98" wide in total with insignia measuring 44" wide, used with the #4 Batmobile (aka Dragster Batmobile), the Barris-designed Batmobile paired with yellow Batchutes that was used between 1967-1968 for promotional and exhibition purposes. The present example comes from the collection of Irwin "Bud" Kuns, a partner and customizer at Barris Kustom City who was gifted the chute by George Barris, the famed designer of the Batmobile. It is believed to be the only surviving example. Exhibiting expected production wear and age from use including tears and tattering to the nylon and color fading throughout.
