Description

Blue Thunder Helicopter AFA 70 (Multi Toys Corp., 1983). Released alongside the 1983 techno-thriller Blue Thunder, this officially licensed toy helicopter captures the film's iconic militarized chopper in detailed 1:18-style scale-complete with opening cockpit, spinning rotor blades, and a pilot action figure sealed inside the window box. Multi Toys produced the toy for a brief window during the film's theatrical run, making surviving examples uncommon today. Graded AFA 70 EX+ with subgrades of B70 W80 F85. As a niche companion to '80s screen vehicles like Airwolf and Knight Rider, the Blue Thunder helicopter holds a cult appeal that resonates with collectors of vintage film tie-in toys and militarized sci-fi alike. A display-worthy piece to acquire before this rotor-powered rarity lifts off for another collection.
