Batman Tin Battery-Operated Batmobile (AHI 1972). Blast off into vintage toy history with this striking 1972 battery-operated tin Batmobile, released by AHI (Azrak Hamway International) in bold, first-issue blue. Modeled after the same sleek body design made famous by Cien Ge in Japan, this early AHI edition features the distinctive 1972 copyright stamped just behind Batman in the cockpit. The car presents in excellent condition, showcasing vivid color, rubber wheels with white tin hubs, and sharp red pinstriping along the sides and rear fins. Light wear and minor scratches are mostly confined to the front and tail sections, while the red translucent lights and rocket exhaust show mild fading. The lithographed lower tail lights and detailed dashboard, doors, and hood burst with vintage flair. Batman and Robin ride inside with painted plastic heads perched on tin torsos, flanked by unpainted tin headlights and a translucent green windshield. The original box, marked "NO. 5421" and boasting "Battery Operated Mystery Action," shows signs of handling with edge wear, scuffing, creasing, and a worn, split cellophane window. The set is completed with the original shipping sleeve and original batteries. Though untested, this piece stands as a rare and visually thrilling example of early 70s Batman collectibles.
