Description

G.I. Joe Adventure Team Eagle Eye Man of Action (Hasbro, 1976). Introduced at the tail end of the Adventure Team era, the Eagle Eye Man of Action represented Hasbro's final major innovation for its 12" G.I. Joe figures before the format changed direction. The figure's signature "moving eyes" feature was a standout engineering achievement in 1976, giving added realism through a clever rear-mounted lever that shifts the pupils side to side.

This example remains sealed on card, with the eyes still functioning correctly. However, the internal elastic bands have deteriorated over time, leaving both arms detached inside the bubble-an expected issue with vintage Joes of this era. The blister is yellowed and brittle, cracked in multiple places, with crushing along the top and a hole at the bottom. The card itself is significantly faded and shows moderate creasing, veining, edge wear, corner softness, and a tear from the punch hole to the top edge. Despite its wear, this is a prime example of a historically important figure in original packaging. A must-have for vintage Joe collectors seeking to represent the complete evolution of the Adventure Team line, from rugged realism to interactive play mechanics. As the final new character variation before Hasbro shifted to the Super Joe line, this Man of Action still commands attention nearly 50 years later.
