G.I. Joe Adventure Team Radiation Detection & Hurricane Spotter Equipment Sets (Hasbro, 1975). By the mid-1970s, Hasbro's G.I. Joe Adventure Team had evolved into a full-blown explorer fantasy, outfitting America's movable fighting man with gear for scientific missions and natural disasters alike. These Radiation Detection and Hurricane Spotter accessory packs reflect the era's shift toward real-world adventure scenarios, offering kids the chance to battle unseen dangers with high-tech equipment. Issued in 1975, both items come in their original illustrated boxes-harder to find than the more common carded sets-and remain complete and undisturbed.

Though the original tape seals have long since fallen away, the contents have never been removed, with both figures still securely fastened to their tray inserts by firmly attached bubbles. The boxes show heavy edge wear from rubbing and scuffing, moderate corner wear, and heavy surface wear from fading, scuffing, and creasing, particularly around the corners. A seldom-seen boxed pair from the closing chapter of the 12-inch Adventure Team era, ideal for collectors chasing G.I. Joe's final forays into science-themed storytelling.
