Sergeant Preston Lot (Quaker Cereals/ Kilgore, 1951-62). Blazing out of the frozen Yukon and into cereal box history, this Sergeant Preston lot showcases a rich assortment of vintage collectibles released by Quaker Cereals between 1951 and 1958 and The Kilgore Manufacturing Company in 1962, all celebrating the legendary radio and TV hero of the North. The collection includes two Sergeant Preston Electronic Ore Detectors-one with a black battery holder and compass guard, the other in red-both complete with their original mailer boxes. Also featured is the classic 1958 "10-in-1" Electronic Trail Kit, the Sgt. Preston Distance Finder, and a metal-cased Pedometer with a rear belt clip. Adding firepower to the mix is the No. 6 Mountie Cap Pistol, a 50-shot repeating toy revolver produced by Kilgore in 1962, housed in its original packaging, which has been previously opened. Rounding out the lot are a Quaker Cereals Sgt. Preston promotional insert in a protective card holder and the original whistle accompanied by a framed box cut-out. Each item shows signs of age, including scuffing, scratching, discoloration, and rust on the whistle. The pistol's packaging shows edge wear, creasing, and surface scuffing. Altogether, this collection captures the rugged charm and collectible legacy of one of frontier pop culture's most enduring figures.
