1957 Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Solid Body Electric Guitar, Serial #7 4027.
Damaged but very cool Gibson Les Paul Custom. Switch Master-style controls with the master tone on the bass side upper bout and three volume controls. The cap on the tone control is a small, phone book-style cap. The forward volume control is pushed into the top and will need professional repair by a qualified luthier. Two large screw holes behind the bridge in the body. There is solder and wiring in the main control cavity that is not factory. Original frets show minimal playwear. All three pickups are undisturbed but with no PAF sticks. The bridge pickup is working but the others are not and have not been checked for ohm-age. Normal checking, dings, scuffs and scrapes to the original finish. The bridge is a non-wire ABR-1 but the bottom is ground down like an early Dot neck bridge. The biding is shrunken and shows a crack at the 9th fret.
A great restoration project of a pretty rare version of the classic "Black Beauty". 9.8lbs. Original hard case included. Condition: Poor.
