The 1990 Impel Marvel Universe collection features a comprehensive 162-card checklist. The first half of the set spotlights individual superheroes, while the latter half delves into teams, iconic rivalries, and celebrated comic book stories. Drawing inspiration from the sports card industry, this set includes six "rookie" cards that highlight newly introduced or revamped Marvel properties. At the time, the concept of card inserts was emerging, with holograms being the most coveted finds in the 1990 Impel Marvel Universe series. These hologram cards, available in five different types, were typically found once per box.

Offered in this showcase is a sealed box of Marvel Universe Series 1 trading cards, including 36 packs with 12 cards per pack. The sealed box displays light wear to the edges and corners. The bottom edge of the left side of the box is blunted. The overall condition is Very Good.
