1988 Topps Garbage Pail Kids - Series 15 - #608a Fairy Mary / #608b Stinker Belle - Group of 3 - PSA 10 .
First it was Wacky Packages which were the bane of retail products everywhere. After the insane popularity of Cabbage Patch Kids dolls, there had to be a parody to mock the dolls that one could actually adopt. Enter "Garbage Pail Kids" stickers! While there were ten sets dedicated to the three 1977 to 1983 Star Wars movies, there are no less than 15 different series dedicated to "Garbage Pail Kids" from 1985 to 1988! The outright meanness of some of the parodies of the beloved dolls led to public criticism which probably just fueled sales.
