Frank Capra's Movie Camera, Gifted to Glenn Ford. This beautiful Bell & Howard 16mm movie camera was once the property of Frank Capra, one of the most notable, talented American filmmakers of the Golden Age. A hugely influential filmmaker before, during, and after World War II, Capra's filmography reads like a list of classics: It Happened One Night, Mr. Deeds Goes to Town, Lost Horizon, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, Meet John Doe, Why We Fight, Arsenic and Old Lace, It's a Wonderful Life, and many more. Capra eventually gave the camera as a gift to Glenn Ford, who co-produced and starred in Capra's final film, Pocketful of Miracles (1961). The camera is in remarkable, like-new condition, and comes with its original carrying case, which bears a Frank Capra Productions Inc. mailing label, and is in Very Fine condition.
