Description
The Beatles Band-Signed Copy of Fabulous Magazine (1964). Authentic autographed items tend to be some of the most valuable and profitable of Beatles collectibles, especially the more unique ones, such as this vintage copy of the February 15, 1964 issue of Fabulous signed on the front cover by John, Paul, George, and Ringo in black ink.The signatures were obtained by an American attorney during a flight from London to New York City on February 7, 1964 -- the flight that brought the Beatles to the US for their historic first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show. The attorney gave the magazine to his daughter as a gift; from a prior trip he had given the lucky little lady a copy of the UK album Please, Please Me, telling her "These guys are really big in Britain right now. I thought you might like to hear their music." He had accurately predicted the oncoming wave of Beatlemania.
The magazine is in fine condition with a large tear to the back cover, heavy spine stress, creases and wear to the edges and covers, a heavy fold crease across the center, and mild page tanning -- none of which affect the large, bold, unfaded signatures on the cover, above the large color image of the Fab Four. It is accompanied by a signed affidavit of authenticity from the sole owner. Accompanied by James Spence Authentication auction LOA.
